Out of Sight, Out of Mind
Published November 29, 2007

As winter creeps in and the temperatures drop, the last thing, we as golfers have on our minds is the golf course. But even though it's too cold to golf, the work required to maintain the golf course continues on in spite of the weather.
This Fall has been unique. Probably due to warmer temperatures and the lack of early frost, many of the leaves hung on the trees longer than normal, extending our efforts much later than anticipated. Just yesterday we finally had enough leaves removed to allow us to apply the treatment for snow mold which we finished up today.

Now we're on to installing the snow fences in our efforts to stave off winter kill.

"A first class hole must have the subtleties and stategic problems which are difficult to understand, and are therefore extremely likely to be condemned at first sight even by the best of players."
