The National Weather Service is predicting a 40% chance that the temperatures will be above normal over the next 90 days. What's that mean for the golf course? Well, it all depends on how warm it gets, as well as how much precipitaion comes along with it. Overall, a mild winter is always better for the golf course. There's less chance for winter damage and the turf is usually in much better condition in the spring following a mild winter. This inturn means a jump start for the following golf season. Let's hope they're correct and and let's all look forward to an early start next year.
