Golf Cart Control

Published March 5, 2007

Last year, mainly during the outside events, we had some issues regarding cart control. There were several instances where golfers had driven through areas that were under construction or recently renovated. In most of these cases we had to return to those areas and implement repairs costing additional resources as well as a resulting in the lose of valuable time.

I must say that it is very frustrating to have someone drive a golf cart through an area that you have just spent a considerable amount of time and effort in restoring it. Because the majority of golf course managers share this frustration the following video was created to give several examples of techniques that some golf courses could utilize in their efforts to control cart traffic on their golf courses.

Please take a look and get back to me with your comments or suggestions.

"The spirit of golf is to dare a hazard, and by negotiating it reap a reward, while he who fears or declines the issue of carry, has a longer or harder shot for his next play."
