Drainage on #9

Published May 17, 2007

What's the activity on #9? Located in the swale to the left of this willow tree is a main drainage line. This line carries a good portion of the drainage water from #8 and #9 fairways as well as the surrounding area. Over time, the roots from this Willow tree have found their way into the pipe and have stopped the flow of water. During rain events the water has no where to go and is starting to cause a wet spot in the fairway. As part of the remedy, we will excavate and replace the damaged drain tile.
