Beyond Ridiculous!

Published May 15, 2006

angry_face.JPGIf you have ever felt intense anger coursing through your body then you know how I feel right now. On every single one of the new tees someone drove a golf cart through the freshly laid sod. I just can't believe it! On #18, someone drove their cart right up on the teeing surface. On #10 they drove between the cart path and the forward tee. On #13 intermediate they drove over the new sod only 1 foot away from the teeing surface. In each case ruts were created causing the need for repairs by the grounds crew. To make it clear this wasn't a malicious act carried out by one individual but instead the result of several careless and inconsiderate drivers.

As the golf course is already riddled with signs and traffic posts and the fact that the tee renovations are so obvious, I felt it wasn't necessary to add more signs to the already overbearing signage we have. I guess I was wrong on that one so I'll have to add even more signs. I'll probably have to use so many signs and flags that the golf course will look like an airport runway.

For Pete's Sake, PLEASE stay out of the new sod!
