Ball Mark Repair Again!

Published June 24, 2005

As most of our members know, one of my pet peeves is the fact that the majority of golfers, including our membership, just don't know how to repair a ball mark. It seems that others in the industry are campaigning, as I have, to educate golfers about repairing ball marks. Here's a link is to a company that is promoting a new ball mark repair tool that is supposed to make it easier for golfers to repair their ball marks. I think it's great! Anything that can be done to increase awareness among golfers. I think the most important thing to remember from their web site is the technique rather than the type of tool. Remember...NEVER PRY UP! SIMPLY REPLACE THE GRASS THAT WAS DISPLACED BY THE BALL! Anyway have a look and let me know what you think.

"I won't even start a golf course design project without having the superintendent on board to make grass decisions, slope decisions and tree decisions. Designing a golf course as a team effort is fun to do and fun to play."
